On May 30th, in collaboration with the Energy Regulatory Authority (ARENE), the informational meeting titled “GET FiT Mozambique Renewable Energy Tenders: Information to Investors and Project Promoters” was arranged. The event drew an impressive turnout, with around 150 participants attending in person and a similar number joining virtually. Among the attendees were representatives from both private and public sectors, financial institutions, and energy programs.
The meeting provided in-depth information on upcoming tenders for solar energy with energy storage. Participants gained insights into participation criteria, current policies, legal frameworks, regulatory procedures, and tax incentives. Opportunities for contractors, sponsors, and investors were also highlighted.
The event exceeded our expectations and became a valuable platform for updating ongoing activities, discussing challenges, and identifying necessary improvements in policy frameworks to support sustainable energy solutions. The power point presentations from the event can be found here.
We concluded the day with a strong belief that these initiatives will serve as catalysts for significant advancements in the energy sector in Mozambique. The event contributed to fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and sustainable development, which will have positive effects on the country’s energy future.
