The GET FiT Mozambique Small Hydro Tender aims to support the development of small hydropower projects in Mozambique. The tender will be supported by financing from the European Union. The implementation is in the planning stage.

Help Shape the Future of Hydropower in Mozambique – Take Our Survey

As part of the preparation phase for the GET FiT Mozambique Small Hydropower tender, the Secretariat – managed by Multiconsult as the Programme Implementation Consultant – is conducting market sounding activities with developers, investors, and other stakeholders.

We invite all interested parties to participate in a short survey designed to gather structured insights on market perceptions, including opportunities and potential challenges to private sector involvement.

GET FiT Mozambique Small Hydropower tender – market sounding with interested developers

Multiconsult Norge AS (Multiconsult) has recently been assigned by MIREME as Implementation Consultant for the Small Hydropower component under the GET FiT Mozambique program, funded by the European Union through the German development bank KFW. As an initial step, Multiconsult intends to analyse the Mozambican regulatory environment and general market situation for hydropower development as basis for designing the procurement strategy for the tender.

In this phase, information from project developers, sponsors and other market actors with interest in and knowledge of hydropower development in Mozambique, is of high value. We therefore invite such actors to get in contact with the Secretariat managed by Multiconsult by sending an email to hydropower@getfit-moz.org. Please include basic information about the company and the interest and/or relevant experience in the sector. We will respond by inviting to a meeting or interview, or email exchange, as practical.
